Well another one bites the dust as the May BBQ Party is past. The Party Masters of Team Salseros De La Salsa grilled up a big batch of pork spare ribs and Tyson Chicken thighs. It was a warm early summer night and we dined on Caribbean flavors applied to an old southern tradition by one of the premier BBQ Teams in the Caribbean. We all thank each and every Party Master for a great time and some good BBQ. The members and guests brought a great lineup of side dishes and desserts for all to enjoy. Thank you to all who took the time to make a dish or stop and buy one for the group.
The Side Dish Winners were; Randall Butt / Best Appetizer / plantain shells stuffed with chili & cheese Randall is a gerat member. Not only has he taken a side dish award for 4 months in a row he made 120 appetizers so everyone had one on Randall. Congratulations and great big BBQ thank you! Visit the Brick House in Old San Juan soon! Yolanda Cazull / Best Salad / Rice & Vegetable Salad Congratulations Yolanda on your first coveted side dish award. She tells me it won't be her last award either! Annie Jo Perez / Best Dessert / Tambleque Hey this woman is unstoppable. Annie Jo joined the BBQ Assoc. 5 months ago and has won a side dish award every month and two on one month. All I can say is when you see her name on the dish eat it and don't ask any questions, and consider yourself lucky to have gotten any. Yeeee haw & hot dog! Mike Compton A.K.A. It's been a long time since I got one of these and I feel honored with the company I keep in the winners circle. Okay I have to apologze for getting behind on Party night and I didn't get to have the raffle I promised in the invitation, but I will have it ready and on line for next months BBQ Party. Hawaiian Tropic is a great sponsor and donated a boat load of very cool stuff we will be raffling off next month at "The Burger & Dog Extravaganza" A.K.A. "Cheeseburger In Paradise Party" Okay you BBQ die hards Summer is here and every day is a great day to grill or smoke something.
